EcoFlow says it was started in 2017 by a group of battery engineers. TechCrunch describes it as Shenzhen-based and founded by veterans of drone maker DJI, where CEO Lei “Bruce” Wang helped set up the battery R&D department. The company name on its site is EcoFlow Technology Inc.

The lineup comes in three tiers. RIVER models are the small ones (the RIVER 3 Plus has 286 Wh). DELTA covers roughly 1–3 kWh units, and DELTA Pro and DELTA Pro Ultra are the big home backup units. We didn’t find an EcoFlow page that defines its suffixes, so go by the specs. Within the DELTA 3 family, the DELTA 3 and DELTA 3 Plus hold 1,024 Wh, the DELTA 3 Max and Max Plus 2,048 Wh, and the Ultra models 3,072 Wh.

Warranty

EcoFlow’s US warranty table (updated October 20, 2025) gives 5 years for the DELTA 2, DELTA 2 Max, DELTA 3, DELTA 3 Plus, DELTA Pro 3, RIVER 2 series and RIVER 3 Plus, but only 24 months for the RIVER 3. Some newer models get 3 years plus 2 more only if you register: the DELTA 3 Max, DELTA 3 Max Plus, DELTA 3 Classic and DELTA 3 Ultra. The table lists the original DELTA Pro at 24 months, or 24 + 36 with registration, while its current product page says 3 years standard plus 2 with app registration. The DELTA Pro 3 product page likewise describes its 5 years as 3 standard plus 2 after registering in the EcoFlow app. Coverage applies to products bought from EcoFlow or an authorized seller and used in the US. EcoFlow’s portable solar panels carry 12 months. EcoFlow warranty policy.

App and connectivity

Monitoring and settings go through the EcoFlow app (iOS 11 or later, Android 5.0 or later). EcoFlow lists backup reserve, time-of-use charging and multi-device views among its features, and notes that the advanced ones work only on some devices. The DELTA 3 Max spec sheet lists Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth 5.0. The DELTA Pro 3 lists Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz, Bluetooth and CAN. The app is also where you register some models for the extra two warranty years, so it’s worth setting up even if you never use remote control.

Extra batteries and home backup

Extra batteries are model-specific. RIVER 3 Plus stacks an EB300 (286 Wh) or EB600 (572 Wh) for up to 858 Wh. The DELTA 3 and DELTA 3 Plus reach about 5 kWh with a DELTA 3, DELTA 2, DELTA 2 Max or DELTA Pro 3 Extra Battery. The DELTA 3 Max Plus lists 2–10 kWh; the DELTA Pro 3, 4–48 kWh.

For house circuits there are two routes. The Smart Home Panel 2 is a 12-circuit subpanel with a 20 ms automatic switchover for the DELTA Pro Ultra, DELTA Pro 3 and original DELTA Pro, and it requires installation. The manual 6-circuit Transfer Switch 306A1 (125 V) and 306A (125/250 V) suit the DELTA Pro family; EcoFlow says a qualified electrician should install them. Its gas Smart Generator 3000 and 4000 (Dual Fuel) recharge the DELTA 3 series and DELTA Pro 3.

Solar panels and connectors

EcoFlow’s own panels include folding portable models (400 W, 220 W NextGen bifacial, 160 W, 110 W and a 45 W USB-C panel) and rigid or flexible panels for fixed installs (400 W rigid, 100 W rigid, 100 W flexible, 125 W bifacial modular and 175 W rigid). The 220 W panel’s spec sheet lists standard photovoltaic connectors, and EcoFlow says a solar-to-XT60 charging cable comes with its portable panels. The DELTA Pro 3 has two separate inputs: a high-voltage port (30–150 V, 15 A, 1,600 W) and a low-voltage port (11–60 V, 20 A, 1,000 W). Keep each array inside the voltage window of the port it uses.

Questions

How long is the EcoFlow warranty?
It depends on the model. EcoFlow’s US policy gives 5 years for the DELTA 2, DELTA 3, DELTA 3 Plus, DELTA Pro 3, RIVER 2 series and RIVER 3 Plus, 24 months for the RIVER 3, and 3 years plus 2 with registration for the DELTA 3 Max, Max Plus, Classic and Ultra. The product must come from EcoFlow or an authorized seller.
Which EcoFlow models are expandable?
Of the EcoFlow models in our database, these accept extra batteries: RIVER 3 Plus (up to 858 Wh), DELTA 3 (up to 5,120 Wh), DELTA 3 Plus (up to 5,120 Wh), DELTA 2 (up to 3,000 Wh), DELTA 3 Max Plus (up to 10,240 Wh), DELTA 2 Max (up to 6,144 Wh), DELTA Pro (up to 10,800 Wh) and DELTA Pro 3 (up to 12,288 Wh). Extra batteries are not interchangeable across the whole range, so check the compatibility list on the product page first.
Does EcoFlow make a 240 V power station?
Yes. In our database: DELTA Pro 3 (up to 12,288 Wh). EcoFlow lists the DELTA Pro 3 at up to 4,000 W at 120 V or 240 V from a single unit. To feed house circuits it needs a transfer switch or the Smart Home Panel 2, installed by a licensed electrician.
