DJI Power Stations
By Hicham M. · Updated October 17, 2026 · Specs as of September 2026 · How we calculate
DJI is the Shenzhen-headquartered drone and camera company; its About page says it grew from a single small office in 2006. DJI added the Power 2000 in July 2025, saying it had launched the DJI Power series just over a year earlier.
The model names track capacity. The Power 500 and Power 1000 are the smaller units, and the Power 2000 holds 2,048 Wh in what DJI calls a 32.6-liter body. DJI also sells a Power 1000 V2, which appears in its accessory compatibility lists. What sets the series apart is the SDC port. Besides power in and out, it fast-charges DJI drone batteries such as the Mavic 3 and Air 3 series with the matching cable.
All 3 DJI models we track
| Model | Battery | Output | Surge | Solar in | Weight | Wh/lb | Runs a fridge |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Power 500 | 512 Wh | 1,000 W | — | 300 W | 16.1 lb | 31.8 | 7.5 hours |
| Power 1000 | 1,024 Wh | 2,200 W | 4,400 W | 800 W | 28.7 lb | 35.7 | 15 hours |
| Power 2000 Expandable | 2,048 Wh | 3,000 W | — | 1,800 W | 48.5 lb | 42.2 | 30 hours |
“Runs a fridge” is nonstop runtime for a typical ENERGY STAR full-size fridge averaging 58 W, at 85% inverter efficiency. Specs from each maker’s published documents, as of September 2026.

Warranty
DJI’s FAQ pages for the Power 500, Power 1000 and Power 2000 all say the same thing: “The default warranty period is five years. Certain accessories are not included in the 5-year warranty coverage.” They refer to DJI’s after-sales service policy for the details. The Power 1000 product page phrases it as “up to 5 years of warranty” when bought from the official DJI Store, so keep your receipt and check the policy if you buy from another retailer. DJI doesn’t mention a registration step for the extra years. DJI Power 2000 FAQ.
App and connectivity
The Power 2000 connects to the DJI Home app. DJI’s spec sheet lists Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n, 2.4 GHz) and Bluetooth 5.0. In the app you can switch AC output on or off, change settings, see error codes and set the auto-off time (30 minutes by default). DJI says it also shows the Expansion Battery 2000 and the 1 kW and 1.8 kW chargers. For the Power 1000, DJI’s FAQ handles firmware through the DJI Assistant 2 (Power Series) desktop software, and we found no wireless connection listed on its spec page.
Expansion and home backup
Only the Power 2000 expands. Its two SDC ports accept the DJI Power Expansion Battery 2000, up to ten of them, for 22,528 Wh. With an expansion battery attached, combined AC and DC charging rises from 2,200 W to 3,000 W. DJI’s car options are the 1kW Super Fast Car Charger and the 1.8kW Solar/Car Super Fast Charger, which charge from a running vehicle’s alternator. The Power 2000 has a UPS mode that DJI says switches within 0.01 seconds. We didn’t find a DJI transfer switch, home panel or generator on DJI’s site. Wiring any station into house circuits takes a transfer switch installed by a licensed electrician.
Solar charging and connectors
DJI doesn’t sell its own panels. It recommends DJI-certified panels from the brand Zignes. Solar goes through the DJI Power Solar Panel Adapter Module (MPPT), which plugs into an SDC port and takes panels on XT60 plugs. Each module accepts up to three panels, with a 12–30 V input, 200 W and 10 A per channel, and 400 W total on a Power 1000 or 300 W on a Power 500. For other brands’ panels, DJI says to convert the plug to XT60 and keep open-circuit voltage under 30 V. The Power 1000 can use two modules at once. The 1.8kW Solar/Car charger raises the Power 2000’s solar input to 1,800 W.
