Add the Runtime Calculator to Your Site

Run a preparedness blog, an RV or off-grid site, or a store that sells power stations? Give your readers a working calculator instead of a static chart. It's free, and it updates itself when we add models.

1Choose the defaults

2Copy the code

Paste it where the calculator should appear. In WordPress, use a “Custom HTML” block.

What your readers get

The math is the same as our full runtime calculator, and every formula is published in How we calculate.

The one condition

Keep the “Calculator by OutageMath” line under the frame. It's how readers find the full tools and the sources behind the numbers. You're welcome to restyle it to match your site.

Questions

Is it free?
Yes. There is no sign-up, no ads inside the widget and no tracking cookies. We only ask that you keep the small “Calculator by OutageMath” credit below it.
Will it slow my page down?
Barely. It loads in its own frame, only when a visitor scrolls near it, and the calculator is a few small files with no third-party scripts.
Does it stay up to date?
Yes. The widget always uses our current model database and math, so new power stations and corrected specs show up without you changing anything.
Can I change the default model or the colors?
Pick the default model and a light or dark theme below. Visitors can still choose any model and edit the device list.
